Got it, this is coming from Version 24R1.

This is available from Cloud 22R2 onwards.

One side note is to use $select with full lower-case letters as the attribute name in order for this to work in workflow

Apologies for the confusion. On following tracks this is available only with below Service Updates and later. For 24R1, its available from EA onwards.
