I have not seen such behavior before. May I assume that this is with IEE rather than Aurena?
IEE uses a technology called ClickOnce to deploy on client PCs. Unfortunately, the ClickOnce folder can easily become corrupt, regardless of the Windows version. You can reset the folder with either of the following commands:
Please be sure to have quit IEE prior to running these. Also note that IEE is installed on a per-user basis, so please be logged in as the target user when running these commands.
Then you can re-install IEE from the IFS URL.
If this does not resolve the issue and you wish for IFS to investigate it, please feel free to open a ticket. I would recommend attaching ProcDump to the process to collect a memory dump when it crashes. This can then be analyzed for crash details.
