Upgraded to Apps 10 - Slow

Late April our organization upgraded to Apps 10 UPD 10, from Apps 9. We wanted to make this move due to Oracle 12c being discontinued and move to Oracle 19c. 

 

We have experienced slowness, Apps 10 freezing, and start pages just spinning and not loading. IFS has been helpful at continuing to look into this but it’s been very challenging to get the issue fixed. For Start Pages it was suggested we move to Lobbies, but that’s not an overnight solution and there is no guarantee that lobbies load any quicker. As for the freezing and slowness we are trying to track it down but it’s been tough. Users try to load screens and nothing shows up, they have to refresh the screen to get something to show up sometimes. Other times they run a quick report, filter shop floor workbench, or just try to load a screen and IFS freezes trying to load it. 

We had no issues in Apps 9 with freezing and slowness. We made no major modifications or updates that would have caused this. Is anyone experiencing issues with Apps 10 (or Oracle 19c)?

Hi Ngerst,

 

Please check Validate Indexes task is properly scheduled and the indexes are validated and built successfully. If not it may be a cause of this performance lag. 

*Note :The Validate Indexes job should be run monthly but can be run quarterly if required.
