Hello,
Ubuntu 20.04 is nearing end of Support (By 2025 April). Does anyone know whether there are plans to have a more latest Ubuntu version (22.04/24.04) for the Upcoming Cloud releases starting from IFS Cloud 24R2?
Thanks
Hi
It will be upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 before 20.04 goes EOL as per the today's update from the R&D Team. Most likely at the 24R2 track and the 25R1 GA.

What technical implications will this have for existing IFS Cloud customers that upgrade form a earlier IFS Cloud version? Will infrastructure sizing requirements change with 24R2?
ETA for Ubuntu 22.04 is January 2025. This covers certification on the supported IFS Cloud tracks
Why not go crazy and, dare I suggest, validate on 24 LTS?!
IFS Supported platforms have now been updated to include certification of Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS . https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r2/080_supported_platforms/#middle_tier_server
Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS is supported in the latest infrastructure service updates per release that is: 24R2 SU2 , 24R1 SU8 , 23R2 SU14, 23R1 SU21, or later.
Once next SU is released download the new version of the remote deployment infrastructure depending on lFS release.
