When running Refresh Cache the Cache Type “Dictionary” does not appear to be working entirely correctly. 

An example; I checked all Cache Types except Dictionary Cache at 08:09 11/08/2021, 

then checked Cache Type Dictionary at 08:29 on 11/08/2021 and it began running and this popped up, so I left it running

At 11:40 the same screen as above was running, I cancelled the session and then back in the Refresh cache screen this is the view…
 


Dictionary cache refresh is running more than 3 hours and keep running is the problem for the customer and they are on Apps10. Please share any thoughts on resolving this problem.

Dictionary cache can be refreshed from “New Permission Set” window as well as sqlplus/ plsql developer. have you tried those?
