How to enable LOV for Read only attribute in Custom LU

Hi,

I have added new read only custom attribute called “Employee Category’ to existing custom logical unit to fetch employee category from Employee File. I need to enable LOV or drop down when I search.

when a user want to filter the records on the custom page by ‘Employee Category’, hits the search button, but must then enter the value as free text in the dialog box. This requires the user to remember the exact phasing of Employee Category. 

Is there any way to enable LOV when searching like this?

Hi @Janu Jayarathna,

As far as I know, you can get a drop down consisting of values if the data type of the Read Only field is ‘Enumeration’. And you have to specify the enumeration that would fetch the relevant values as well when setting up the custom field. Therefore, unless the employee categories are fetched from an enumeration, I don’t think you would be able to do this.
