Hello,
We are currently in the process of setting up a virtual map key (Bing Key) for the customer within our system. While we have successfully procured the Bing Key and integrated it into our system parameters, recent concerns have been raised regarding its security implications.
The customer has expressed worries about the potential security risks associated with the current setup. Specifically, they have highlighted the fact that anyone with access to the system parameters could obtain the key and potentially misuse it. An example of this concern is illustrated by our utilization of the DEV key on the TEST environment, which functions properly but poses a significant security risk.
In light of this, we are reaching out to inquire if there are any measures we can implement at the Bing Key level to enhance security. Is there a method by which we can apply security rules directly at the Bing level during the key generation process? Alternatively, would it be feasible to encrypt the key value within the system parameters to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access?
To provide further context, we have attached a few screenshots for your reference. These screenshots aim to illustrate the current setup and help clarify the context of our case.
