As we are a global company, we have a limited amount of concurrent users that can be using Cloud simultaneously, as all the users will not be using the system at the same time.

Does “concurrent user” mean per user session that the user has initiated at the same time, e.g., opening Cloud in multiple tabs or is it per user ID, regardless of using Cloud in multiple tabs?

Regards Hans

It is an user session regardless of the tabs opened.

It is an user session regardless of the tabs opened.

Thank you for the quick reply Srikanth.

Follow up question: If the same user then logs on via a different device while still being logged on via e.g. the laptop, will that count as a new session and the user will now “take up” 2 sessions?

I am not sure as starting from IFS Cloud, Aurena allows multiple session connections by same user from same/different devices. This wasn’t possible in Apps 10 and flagged down as a license violation.

It will also be good to know what your concern is.

If license limit is the concern, you can review results under License Metrics to ensure you have enough seats.

The concern is that the number of open tabs will affect the defined limit we have for concurrent users.

But if it is like 1 user = 1 concurrent user, regardless of number of devices used or amount of tabs open at the same time, then there should be no issue.

In the License Metrics, I can see the number of licenses we have, but the number of concurrent users are not specified there,

Hi,

As responded previously, it is a user session regardless of the tabs opened.
