Do you plan in IFS Cloud (next release version) to automate the page rebase? It totally sucks that every time it is necessary to compare Custom atribute vs what was added in standard manually.

The same issue occures not only on partner side (doing it for cusotmer) but also on customer side.

It is really nice that on presales PPT there is a info that customer can create custom atribute himself but in IFS cloud it is terrible when you take into account Release Update (RU) or Service Update (SU).

Hope there will be any uselful response not that we will look into it and after year there will be dozens of comments and no asnwer.

Thank you

Any progress with question above?

@cdcnicolev Nicole I guess it would be good to post this as an idea and then R&D will review and if enough upvotes will be gathered maybe they’ll implement the idea.

I’d give an upvote for it.

Hi,

Discussion around the need for rebase or not has been discussed in this thread also. https://community.ifs.com/ideas/page%2Dconfigurations%2Dbaseline%2Dstatus%2Dis%2Dset%2Dto%2Dbehind%2Dafter%2Dan%2Dupdate%2D42329?tid=42329&postid=151816#post151816

Summary - While fully automating the upgrade is not deemed feasible, the current user experience for upgrading customer client configurations has room for improvement, especially in terms of streamlining the process.

“It totally sucks that every time it is necessary to compare Custom attribute vs what was added in standard manually.”

This is what we refer to as “join disconnected items”. This is something that is recognized as a major pain point and  a big barrier for a  smooth upgrade experience. This is an area that we are currently looking into.

Kind regards,

Tobias Furberg
