Hello IFS Community,

In the "Customer Statement of Account" (Screenshot 2), there are parameters named Period1, Period2, and Period3 (Screenshot1). I can auto-populate them using Page Designer by navigating to Groups > Days of Ageing Param Group and entering the values in the Base Date, assigning the desired values to each period parameter.

Is there any other method to auto-populate these parameters besides the approach presented via Page Designer?

The problem I found is when default the value via page designer, the first time the page populate the values

Thank you for your insights!

@ZTC ZTC JGOTA In IFS Cloud 24R2 GA, a new capability was introduced to allow default values to be set on fields in a conditional manner, and sounds like this is closer to what you were looking for!

See more here:

Conditional Default Values that Rukmal is pointing to, is probably what you want. This concept allow you to define default values for fields while inserting new records.

Basevalue that you have played with is an attribute that is there to initiate the date time picker, i.e., provide a basevalue for a date picker if the attribute has no current value.

Hello @tofuse @Rukmal Fernando

Thanks for your information. It was very valuable.

@Rukmal Fernando , You mentioned in your post that 'Conditional Default Values' is only available in IFS Cloud 24 R2, and that this feature is not available in IFS Cloud 24 R1. Is that correct?

@tofuse  Could you please provide me with an example to better understand what you wrote about? =>  “Basevalue that you have played with is an attribute that is there to initiate the date time picker, i.e., provide a basevalue for a date picker if the attribute has no current value.” Some example to read about it.

Thanks

JL

@ZTC ZTC JGOTA that’s correct, this is a new feature in IFS Cloud 24R2 GA, so it’s not available on 24R1 and prior tracks. It’s also not available on IFS Cloud 24R2 Early Access release, in case you have access to any EA environments.

Best regards,

Rukmal

Hi,

I just wanted to inform you that the basedate attribute (which I mistakenly referred to as basevalue earlier) is not intended to set a general default value for a field. Instead, it is used to provide a starting value for a date picker in cases where the attribute has not yet been set.

Base date = SomeOtherDateAttr

This means that SomeOtherDateAttr will be used to initialize the starting value in the date-time picker.
