Just wondering whether IFS has any method of accessing IALs via API?

I am thinking for internal uses, it’d be nicer to query the API directly to pull the IAL query data rather than having to run a migration job and then transfer/FTP etc. the file to another location.

If its not possible yet, how have others integrated data from IFS into other applications besides using migration jobs to export CSV files etc.?

Do Boomi and Mulesoft perform this function or do they only have access to the existing API endpoints?

samuelmac,

IALs are custom coded so they don’t have a linked API. That doesn’t mean that you can’t write your own api for it or use the IALs. Might be that the IAL’s have IFSINFO as owner and API’s normally reside under the IFSAPP schema, so you might have to test a bit with the security settings.

Boomi and Mulesoft will be able to use all available and granted API endpoints. You are also able to build your own web services and when granted permission, I don’t see a reason why one of these applications is not able to use those custom made endpoints.

Thanks Steve, I thought that might be the case. Cheers
