Hello,

We are in IFS 10 now, but we are thinking about upgrading to Cloud.

If we are using Posting Proposals in IFS10, can we go back to not using it when we upgrade to Cloud?

Thanks,

Cora

Hi,

Sorry, I can’t answer the question, but I can say posting proposal works better in Cloud. In Cloud we can set a supplier to ship the authorization requirement so you can take advantage of the good and skip the need to authorize. Further updates are in Cloud and in the pipeline for the near future.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi @CBICRUSU ,

As per my knowledge, when upgrading to IFS Cloud, you have the flexibility to configure your financial processes as needed, including disabling Posting Proposals. If you find that not using Posting Proposals will streamline your workflows, you can reconfigure your Posting Control settings accordingly. However, it’s important to weigh the benefits of efficiency against the need for oversight and control, and implement alternative checks if necessary.

IFS Cloud continues to offer flexible posting control settings. You can configure whether you want certain transactions (e.g., supplier invoices, customer orders, and so on) to require a manual review and approval process (like Posting Proposals) or to be automatically posted to the ledger without manual intervention.

I'm happy to share my advice on this. If you found the answer helpful, please mark it as the correct answer. This will allow us to close the thread and make it easier for other community users to find and benefit from in the future.

Best regards,

Thakshila
