after archiving the GL, There is a difference between account GL Balance and it’s Voucher information as shown below.

GL balance is showing the balance of the account at the given period. based on accounting_balance_tab. However GL voucher rows balance is showing the balance of queried rows. 

Therefore you cannot have the same balance between 2 if

  1. You archived vouchers 
  2. You closed accounting year without a year-end voucher.
