Hello,

when splitting up an object and then rolling back the splitting transaction.

The initial original object and its values are correct.

The created split object however is in status Registered and I’m not able to delete it, as the object was already used in the GL.

What should be handling with those objects?

Best way would be the possibility to change the status to “Scrapped” / “Deactivated” or whatsoelse, but right now it’s just existing in “Registered” without any doable function to properly correct it.

Kind regards

Alex

You are right, object used in GL cannot be deleted.
If you do not want to leave it in Registered status forever (is there any problem with it?) you can change its name and use for any current acquisition you may have.

That won’t be feasible for all customers as some use a numbering scheme for their objects based on object-group and/or accounting-year/period, so it makes it not usable for another acquisition. This numbering scheme would be only used for the split-objects. However, i can not use an already existing object as a split object, because it always creates a new object.

Problem is that the status is wrong and should be possible to clear / clean it up.

Thanks

Alex
