I have a question related to Part Cost on an inactive part. I have a production part that was marked inactive two years ago. When this part is pulled into the Estimating module in IFS, the part cost calculated is different than that of the Part Cost screen in IFS for the PN.
Given that it was marked inactive two years ago, would this be the reason that there is a difference in the costs? I have no found any documentation on how IFS behaves when part cost calculation is run against an inactive part.
The estimate itself appears to be accurate, and Part Cost calculation has been run against the inactive part. Our labor class costs have changed since the part was marked inactive, and I am curious if there is some legacy cost values that would cause the difference?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
