We are running into an issue when creating a depreciation proposal by object, but have no issues when depreciating by object group. When creating a new depreciation proposal, under Object Selection, we select Object and use From Object “%” Until Object “%”. After clicking Finish, a new depreciation proposal is created but no object appear under depreciation details. When checking the depreciation proposal log, it says on step 3 - “Nothing found for select criteria of current proposal”. This is unexpected behaviour because there are FA objects eligible for depreciation and they show up when we change the selection criteria to Object Group.

This problem also appears when we use one single object number in From Object and Until Object.

We are wondering if anyone else have experienced this before or if this is a bug in IFS Cloud (23R2).

To demonstrate that objects should appear in the depreciation proposal, we will perform depreciation by Object Group first. We created a new depreciation proposal for 2024-06 for Book ID INTERNAL, with criteria From Object Group “1724000” Until Object Group “1724000”.

This created Depreciation Proposal number 23, with three FA Objects. This is expected behaviour. The depreciation proposal log also looks to be normal.

At this point, we will click Cancel Depreciation Proposal, to demonstrate depreciation by Object. We then created a new depreciation proposal for 2024-06 for Book ID INTERNAL, with criteria From Object “%” Until Object “%”

After clicking Finish, depreciation proposal 24 is created but no object appear under depreciation details. When checking the depreciation proposal log, it says on step 3 - “Nothing found for select criteria of current proposal”. This is unexpected behaviour because the three FA objects from proposal 23 should have appeared in this proposal.

We will also cancel proposal 24 and demonstrate depreciation by a single object number. After cancelling proposal 24, we created a new depreciation proposal for 2024-06 for Book ID INTERNAL, with criteria From Object “02513684” Until Object “02513684”. The object appears in the dropdown.

After clicking Finish, depreciation proposal 25 is created but no object appear under depreciation details. When checking the depreciation proposal log, it says on step 3 - “Nothing found for select criteria of current proposal”. This is unexpected behaviour because object 02513684 is eligible for depreciation, as shown in proposal 23.
