We are seeing that all the data that is exported from IFS into Excel is coming out as text rather then in the correct format, this issue was not present in apps10.
My first thoughts is this because Apps10 was CSV rather then direct to Excel ?
Does anyone know if it is possible to correct this somehow as many users are getting frustrated.

Hi,
It would be interesting to know the IFS Cloud version, screen you are testing, and the attribute(s) in question - sample data.
When I review IFS Cloud 24R1, and a common screen with alpha and numeric values (amounts) excel appears to manage the data correctly. In my test, I was able to sum amounts, and the numbers were numbers in excel.
If you provide examples, we could investigate.
In this example, the text is text, dates are dates, and numbers are numbers.
Best regards,
Thomas
Hi, More on this issue, i have an example from my side to show. Please refer the below screenshot: The customer invoice numbers are available as number datatype on Cloud but when being exported they are changing to text:
Hi, the invoice number is actually an alphanumeric field in the database, so the behavior might come from that.
Apps 10 output channel worked differently than Excel transfers in Cloud. In Apps 10 the transfer to Excel went through a csv file and Excel made its own interpretation of the content when opening the file. If Excel though it was a number, it was shown as a number in Excel.
In Cloud it looks like it creates a native Excel file and I suppose, I do not have in-deep knowledge about Excel file structures, that the type of the data is already set in the file. And that type would be set based on the type in IFS.
