Hello All,

Can some tell me how you can match a CUPOA in USD with an invoice in EUR?

The company currency is EUR:
Customer invoice in EUR
Payment on account in USD

For a customer we got the following situation

We want to match the invoice with the payment on Account. An offset is no option because of different currecncy.

Is ther an other way?

Regards,

Raymond

Hi,
I think the easiest solution is to use mixed payment.
Create mixed payment - you can use any cash account, but the dummy one for netting will be the best one - and one customer payment transaction with amount zero, currency EUR and customer id indicated.
Then right click Match Payment and in this dialog you can select both invoice and CUPOA item, in USD item you should adjust amounts (in payment currency and in invoice currency) making sure no open amount remains.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for this reply.

What I don't understand is why you should use the dummy cash account.

And you mean that transactions must be added to the tab Matching transactions

Like this

Dummy cash account to avoid affecting bank reconciliation.

And in matching you should bring remaining payment amount to zero (balance an offset) by adjusting payment amount in payment currency on one of the items - it would be easier if mixed payment transaction is created in EUR.

Looking at your figures, I am not sure if you should allocate 100% of prepayment to your invoice- is the currency difference so huge? It is like 1.5k EUR…
