Hi,

In Apps9 - does anyone know why the sheet loads by default order by Account Date then Expense Code. Why not Seq Number - as this was the order they were entered in. What if you have 2  entries on the same date for the same expense code? It is pot-luck which one is chosen?

A little issue recently about neatness, which has poked our interest in it.

Thanks,

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

I am not able to specify the exact reasoning behind this sort logic. However, it seems even in App7.5 version, the same sorting happens.

And as you have noted, if there are multiple expense lines for the same expense code and date, it seems the sort happens still ignoring the sequence.

However, if it is useful, noted that users can use the following option to get the lines sorted with the sequence number.

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

Gayathrie

  1. User should RMB on the table header and go to Properties
  1. In Behaviour tab, tick “Turn off default sorting” and click Apply and OK
  1. Now the sort happens based on the Seq. No.

Note: If this behaviour is needed continuously, the user would need to save his/her profile after above change.
