One of our clients asked if it would be possible to migrate all Swift code for all countries. We do not know the entire number of SWIFT codes, but we believe there are millions of records. It might be possible to migrate, but it would probably overload the database and degrade performance.
So, if anyone has experience migrating all Swift code or knows of a company that has set up and operated with all code, please kindly advise me whether it is possible to set up and operate with all code.
If you partially set up and use the SWIFT code, how did you sort out the target data? (For example, registered only SWIFT for your trading partners bank, etc.)
Or is it normal practice to register the code when it is required for each remittance?
I could really benefit from your expertise.
