Hi

currency amount mistaken for amount values in credit card transaction voucher (Credit card transactions are uploaded from a migration job)

example-

In the below transaction, accounting currency is SGD and transaction currency is Euro.

Here 9.98 is euro which is the transaction value and this should be in currency credit/currency amount columns and the accounting currency is SGD 14.30 should be in credit amount/ amount column .

Hi,

It’s unclear what you're asking.

Are you asking how to fix?   If so then consider ways to reverse the entries for example load another file in the opposite direction to reverse the error.   Or check into the ability to cancel the voucher or have IFS voucher entry process create a reversing type of entry.

If you're suggesting a bug in that IFS created unexpected results, then we need to know more about the migration job. If you’re suggesting a bug, you should log a case.

Typically, many of us would use the standard IFS external voucher process to load this type of data. The external voucher process has been tested countless times - we know it works.

Best regards,

Thomas

The other comment is - are you sure the currency rates are correctly entered in IFS?  It can be confusing.

My best suggestion for testing the rates is enter a manual voucher row, don’t even need to save, and then review the currency and accounting values.   It’s fairly common that a user may enter the wrong rate based on the set up. At times the rate should be inverted and others not. It just depends on set up. Again, best way to test is a one line voucher entry just to confirm - inverted or not inverted.

Hi @Thomas Peterson

Thanks for the response,

currency rates are correct so is the calculation, issue is that the accounting currency value (SGD 14.30)  shown under currency amount and transaction value (Euro 9.98) shown under amount instead of the currency amount.

thanks,

Ken.
