Can you change the format of the BACS.DAT file that is created and saved by IFS when a BACS payment is done to one that can be uploaded to Barclays.net without being manipulated first?

@Naika Omani The standard core BACS.DAT file is provides only row data and non of the UK bank will accept it without formatting. There are few options.

  1. First option (I always recommend to UK customers), move to ISO20022 format for the BACS payment. Almost every bank in UK can handle BACS clearance through ISO20022 CT format.
  2. If they really want to proceed with BACS standard 18 format and if they want to directly created exact bank output from the system, they can do a customization (no code access is required). It should be possible to do this via a configuration (external file output) with the help of technical expert.
  3. Then can use a third party tool to produce the bank expected file layout using IFS standard BACS output.
