Can anyone advise if there is anything pre-built to push data from work orders/work tasks to the calendar in outlook?

 

I was on a call with a customer who is currently using apps 10, and they are asking if there is anything like a connector out of the box that allows a schedule work task to push onto the scheduled resource’s outlook calendar. So as an example, a job gets scheduled tomorrow from 9-11 AM, so a meeting would auto generate on the technician’s outlook calendar from 9-11 with applicable information such as the address.

This same question goes for IFS Cloud as well.

There is no connector to Outlook that I am aware of for FSM. You can set an extract or notification to send an email to a particular email address given a particular trigger but it has no understanding of the recipient mail provider.

Perhaps there is a way to set a rule that will create a calendar entry using the content of one of those emails when it arrives? That will be a question for Outlook.

It would be worth adding this to Ideas in Community to see if this can be added to Cloud in the future.

We have developed a solution to send Work Task Assignment to Outlook calendar using Microsoft Graph API. Our solution is used by an App10 customer.
