I am trying to set up scheduled SQL backups of the IFS databases, however I get an error saying “Agent XPs Component is Turned Off as Part of the Security Configuration for this Server”.
I understand how to enable the Agent XP component, but wanted to check that this hasn't been turned of deliberately as part of the IFS installation?

I’m not aware that the FSM or PSO Installer is disabling this DB component.
I think you can enable it without any issues. I’m using the SQL Server Agent as well in our internal environments for scheduled backup jobs.
