I have a client needing to attach new documents to various objects. Some documents are drawings and need to have the same document number as the Drawing Number and Revision they are attaching. I have changed the default for the New Document in the Attachment Panel to utilize the Create Document Assistant so Document Numbers and Revisions can be added.
If the Object the Document is being attached to, using the New Document, is not set up in the Quick Object Connect table, the document does not get connected to the Object. Is this a Bug?
If I add the Object to the Quick Object Connect table, it will automatically be connected.
Is there a setting to automatically have the Object connected when using the Create Document Assistant in the New Document Attachment Panel?
We have almost two hundred Objects that have the DocReferenceObject set up with the ability attach a document directly.
If I add all of these Object to the Quick Object Connect, they will all show up on the Create Document Assistant, Other Connections area when creating the New Document
We do not want these to show up for all Objects. We will be utilizing the Object Connection Transformations table to set up the additional Objects to be automatically connected.
I can set up the Object Types for each Object in the Document Class Management>Object Type for Quick Object Connect so only the Objects shows up for the specific Document Class, but I do not want to have to do this for all two hundred Objects.
Is there a better way to “hide” all of the other Other Connections?
