Hello, I am trying to configure Oracle (or any compatible) ODBC connection for an IFS database.

I have no setup details for the database and have had no success mirroring existing computers. 

 

The existing computers that can refresh reports in excel have Oracle19c installed. I am open to doing anything and have full access to the sql server. I am just looking for some guidance.

    Hi,

    for me it's not clear what you really want to do.

    I suppose you want to fetch data from an Oracle 19c database of IFS Applications/IFS Cloud and it's not an IFS Managed Cloud. I hope it is an on premise installation.

    So you would like to fetch data from an Oracle 19c database to a MS SQL server using an ODBC connection? Is that right?

    Yes, that is what my goal is. So sorry for my slow response.

     

    I can’t seem to get the excel past a constant “running background query”

     

    This is an “On premise” installation.

     

    I think at this point I have the drivers configured properly but am questioning if excel needs configuring. 

     

    Is that something that usually needs done?
