Hello,

We are having a need to work with Supplier agreements with type Blanket Purchase order. This gives us a good way of creating call of orders to our suppliers.

The problem we are facing is that we don’t find a good way to handle the price information for the parts linked to the agreement. We are in a need to apply date control to our prices like it’s possible in the price list for “Supplier for Purchase Part” because our purchase prices are changing during the agreement period.

The price in the agreement does not give us this opportunity. So, the dilemma for us is. We must connect the parts to our agreement to be able to create call of orders linked to the agreement? But when they are linked to the agreement, we can no longer have date control to the price.

We think it’s not possible to handle the pricing separately on “Supplier for Purchase Part” because the hierarchy for orders to select price selects agreements before price lists.

Does anyone have an idea how we could think? Creating a new agreement every time the price is changing is not an option for us. Nor changing the price adhoc in the agreement as well because we need to administrate it before the price change will be activated.

Hi Johan,

Supplier agreement is an agreement contract between your supplier and you regarding prices, parts, conditions, etc. Then, if you need to change the prices, either you create a new agreement (that it’s not acceptable for your case) or else, instead of changing the prices in the lines, you can close old price lines and create new ones with the new prices. In this way, you can keep track of previous prices in the closed lines.

I would also combine this option with a new line in the Periods tab, so you can also keep track of the cummulated vales in each period.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Pilar
