Not typically, you can submit a case to IFS to ask for an explanation why the LU is blocked. Most times there is a valid programming reason it is blocked, sometimes it has just been overlooked because no one has asked.

+15As the “Reason” field says this LU does not have a base table or a view. That is why this LU is blocked for custom fields.
If you feel that business requirement is affected by this restriction, you can raise a support case toward IFS and ask for a fix or a clarification.
