Hi,

using Apps 10.

Some months ago, we received a part. We received it at QA, did inspection (pass), moved into stock at location XX.

We wanted to use the part, but then noticed that it was not OK. So we want to send it back to the supplier. The easiest way (as far as we know) is to return it using the PO.

So we moved the part to location XX, put the ‘to inspect’ qty at 1 and re-initiated the inspection. But when trying to return the part, it showed the error “Location XX does not exist”

When we check the part serial history, we can see that the part is there and that this was the first picking location of the part after it arrived.

Any idea where this come from?

Hi,

In general, parts should be available in the location where they were finally stored during the receipt process. This location is generally shown in Single tab of Purchase Receipt. But there are cases where this location is different (for example, when inspection is done and un-done).

Best option is to check if your location is available in the list of values for available locations in Return parts dialog box.

If you still experience the problem, please create a Support case, as there are some bug fixes related to this flow that could be related to your case.

Regards,

Pilar

Hi @First Employee I am also facing the same issue, have you found the solution? appreciate if you can share

We had a similar issue, but did the flow outside of IFS as “solution”

Hi,

May I know your UPD version and whether the value ‘XX’ is the activity sequence or the location number?

R&D has provided a bug fix (bug ID: 150281) for a similar issue. In that case, when selecting the location, Activity Sequence value has been fetched to the line instead of location number. The bug has been fixed in APP10 UPD 7.

Thanks,

Kethaka
