Restrict Purchase Groups

Hello All,

Is there a way to restrict what Purchase groups can be used for NOT PART lines vs PART lines?  

 

 

For PART order lines, we only want to allow a few groups as well as the NO PART order lines.  

Is there a way to accomplish this with base configuration in IFS?

We are on Apps10.

Hi,

there are several options:

  1. Part Lines have setup on Purchase Part window. In this window you can force in list of values from saved search
  2. No Part lines - the same you can do similar saved search 

and the best is

  1. create custom enumeration with 2 valuse
  2. create Custom Field (enumeration from point 1) in purchase groups with two values like “PART” and “NO PART”

    btw, this type can be used in search, too 

     

  3. then create Custome Events (new, update) (all windows: Purchase Part, Purchase requisition/order no Lines  Part / no Part)which will block user to use different purchase group as this type as presetup. this will allow users to add groups and setup where can be used.
