Hi, 

In MS Level 1 , I set my parts to “Do Not Create S/P Req”,  then run MS calculation.

Then,  instead of “Shop Order Req” , it creates “Fixed MS Supply” (60 pcs),

 

while, how to consume the “MS Supply” ?

 

I tried to create “Shop Order Req” -> “Shop Order”(60 pcs) manually,

then run “MS Level 1 Calc” again.

 

And find  “MS Supply” number keep same.

Finally, Total Supply just doubled :   “MS Supply: 60” + “Shop Order: 60 ”  = 120.

 

Hi! When the planner sets/creates a Fixed Master Production Schedule Receipt, it is in a way similar to created a planned shop order. System does not ever remove this one. You create a fixed MS set outside planning time for some reason! Perhaps you are aware of a marketing campaign coming up. Or that you know that prior some certain holidays consumers buy much more than average and you want to build up inventory prior to that holiday.

Maybe there is some misunderstanding here.

My point is ,

if IFS creates a “Shop Order Requsion”,  after create shop order from this Requsion, 

system do consume the Requstion.

 

While, for a MS Supply,

1.you cannot create shop order from it , 

2.even you create shop-order manually,  same number as MS Supply, 

   after you run MS Level 1 Cala again,  the MS Supply still there , 

   as you can see in the picture,  the total supply number become doubled.
