Hello Community.

We are using IFS APPS 8.

We are performing MRP. During MRP run we have considered specific customer order lines and their schedule in MRP run by un checking Release for Material planning flag.

Now we need to monitor Raw material requisition for these Customer oreder lines which we have considered during MRP run.

we are facing one challage.

In our Raw material ware hosue we have procured Raw material for all the parts and due to this On hand Raw material stock is much more than requirement generated against the raw material during MRP run.

So Purchase requisitions are not generating for these raw materia.

Is there any option to exclude the current raw material stock present in ware house or manufacturing Floor from system.

Deepak

Hi @Deepak ,

If I understood your requirement correctly you want to remove the stock availability from MRP process for certain parts. If so, you can use Availability Control ID functionality to fulfil your requirement. Part availability control is used for determining the availability when you make reservations or planning on inventory part locations. By using parameter Part Supply Control, you can Determines whether the parts are available and plannable. If set as Not Nettable then parts are not plannable or available in the availability check, order proposal, and MRP.

You can define availability control id in the window path - Warehouse Management/ Basic Data/ Inventory Basic Data/ Part Availability Control tab. You can use this availability control id in Inventory Part in Stock window to restrict the relevant parts from being using for MRP. To set the ID you can select the Record and RMB on it, Select Change Availability Control ID. This will get you a new dialog box to set the Availability Control ID.

Note: Setting Control Availability ID for an Inventory Location is a one-time setup. Once you
connect an availability control id for the location it will remain until you remove it from the
location.

Hope this will help.

Hi @Deepak ,

You can set the safety stock of those parts to the qty that you are currently having. Then, then MRP will consider the safety stock of that value and generate purchase requisitions for the order demands.

Thank you and Best Regards
