Hi All,

Need to know if there a functionality in IFS to handle following scenario.

  • Assume that there are 3 parts (A, B and C) and they need to be put into a Box (handling unit) in the Shipment level
  • Is there a way to provide instructions to the user, on how to pack the parts into the box. eg: the Part-A need to be put in the leftmost corner of the box.

IFS Version: APP10

Any suggestion and comments are welcome.

Are these parts being packed only using one packing instruction?

If so, I would think of attaching the pack layout as a document/media to the part and inheriting the documents from part, in to shipment/order line to see the instruction at packing stage.

Okay so here you can try to add instructions to a pack within a box (handling unit), include a clearly labeled and easy-to-read packing slip or instruction manual inside the pack. You can also attach labels or stickers to the outside of the pack to provide handling instructions or indicate any special requirements. Ensure that the instructions are visible and easy to understand for anyone handling the box.
