Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period task

Hi all,

 

What could be reason Last Activity Date has not changed when rerun Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period task for a period?

Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period task has been run in past but it wants to be run again. My expectation is after rerun the task the last activity date should be equaled to the last run date. Could I be thinking wrong?
