Hi,

My organisation is looking to implement some features using the Contact User form’s User Flags. I am aware that we can modify those according to our needs. However, we have a very specific scenario where we would like to be able to create event queries based on the value of those flags. I haven’t seen those fields in the query form. Is there a way to create event queries using the User Flag values? My organisation is using assyst 11.2.3.

Thanks!

Hello Jean-David,

When you are talking about User Flags, do you mean an alert set against an Contact user?

If yes, you can use in the Event query the 'Alert Status' as a search criteria
https://wiki.axiossystems.com/assyst11-2Wiki/index.php/Event_Search_Form_-_State_Tab

You can also add to the column profile the 'Alert Status Monitor Column'

Let me know if this answer your question.

Kind Regards,

Caroline

Hi Caroline,

No. By User Flags, I am talking about the fields “User Flag 1” and “User Flag 2” in the Contact User form. Please see below:

Hi,

I don’t think it will be possible to create an Event Monitor based on values filled in on User Flag 1 and User Flag 2 on the contact user form. A report would be able to access these values.

There are solutions we could come up with such as setting a certain Item B (or linked Item) or updating a custom field on a call if the affected User has a specific Flag1 or Flag2.

But this kind of work is normally best planned in as some skills transfer during consultancy work.

Hello Jean-David,

As mentioned by Menno,  it is not currently possible to create an Event Monitor based on values filled in on User Flag 1 and User Flag 2 from the contact user form.

You can log this as a suggestion in the ideas area below and this will allow the customer community to see the suggestion and comment/vote on it.

The problem with these solutions is that they become intrinsically intricate because they try to implement a solution for which the system (assyst) was not designed for. Additionally, as far as I know, it is not possible to create Event Monitors based on custom fields in the Contact User form.

In this case it would be custom fields on the logging form that would be set based on the user flags on the contact user form. Custom fields on a logging form that have been setup as shared fields can be used as filters in an Event Monitor. But I agree it would be better if more of the fields on the contact user form could be used as filters in an Event Monitor.
