Hi,
Is there a way to print the barcode of a serial object directly from IFS?

You could print the barcode label from Inventory Part in Stock → Print → Print Barcode Label as you can see below.
If the label doesn’t correspond to your requirements (i.e. you need extra fields) then you could modify the layout using Report Designer.
Hi
Thanks but its always not the case, we have many Serial objects where there is no any inventory part.
For example I can directly create a new Serial Object (Its like purchasing a new equipment) with any serial ID that does not exists in inventory then this would not work unfortunately.
Something like below.
Can’t we create this atleast via a CRIM?
Thank you,
KM
Once you finish the PO Receipt, you will have one pcs in stock → then you can print the barcode label and stick it on the equipment.
After that you can set this as Maintenance Aware → Serial Object will be created → then you can do a WO to put it as In Facility (in this case the 1 pcs no longer appears in inventory).
What I describe above is the normal/regular flow assuming that equipments like this don’t fall from the sky and need to be accounted for .
I checked all the available reports that contain *BARCODE* and I was able to see that there’s one that could be printed from the Work Order also. Not sure if this will help. Otherwise you must go for a CRIM to be able to print the Barcode Label from the Serial Object.
