Hello,

I have a question regarding IFS Cloud measurements registration for the parameter with value type Accumulated. As I see, that when parameter type is Accumulated, then system allows to register measurement value in one of the fields: New Delta Value" or "New Reading Value" - both of them are active:

Is really it should be like that? 

When parameter type is Limited, then only the field “New Reading Value” is active for filling in, and it is ok.

Why for parameter type Accumulated are active both fields? In our opinion should be active only “New Delta Value”.

We tried to register measurement information for the same test point one time in one field, the other time in the other field and do not understand the rules how calculation of “Last Value”, “Last Data Value” and “Total Value” is executed in such cases:

When parameter type is Accumulated, the measurement is registered as “Preliminary Recording” if at least one time measurement result was registered in the field “New Reading Value” (instead of “New Delta Value”). It seems that system at once understands the recording as not correct, when parameter type is Accumulated and measurement result was filled in the field “New Reading Value” instead of “New Delta Value”.

Please somebody clarify how it works or how it should work.

We understand that different customers may have varying needs. In this case, you only want to use the New Delta value. However, when R&D conducted customer validations, we found that preferences were evenly split between the options. The design decision was to offer flexibility by including both options. When a value is entered into one field, the other is automatically disabled. If you're specifically NOT interested in the "New Reading Value," you can arrange to hide the other option from the list.

Please note that there is no difference in the calculation between the two options. If a delta value is recorded, it is added to the previous recorded reading, and the new recorded value and total value are calculated accordingly.

I would like to find out what is the algorithm of calculations when system allows to change measurement value type in between (for parameter type Accumulated). It seems something is not right or I need help to understand its’ logic.

It means that really it is not ok when recordings are mixed in between, but system allows to mix them.

If in the measurement V to register Delta value again, I do not understand the logic of calculation of "Last Value", "Last Delta Vale" and "Total Value".
