You can try the following:

Add a Custom field to “Historical Work Orders” screen so that it will fetch and display the cost center attached to the Object.

Define a Read Only type custom field and make the Reference path as below.

“HistoricalSeparate=>EquipmentObject(Mch_Code).Cost_Center”

Next add the field to the work order page then you can sort by the Cost Center.
