Eventually solved.
The symptom was that the IFS Scan IT application worked properly and every 30 minutes an error appeared as in the attached image.
Long story short:
the loadbalancer on the Internet gateway switched the channels for different Internet providers (redundancy) from time to time (usually every 30 minutes). Network/Security guy set Wadaco devices for one fixed channel.
