Hello,

How is the “All active Warehouse Data Collection Aurena users” license metric determined? I’d like to understand to help manage our licenses in IFS.

Hi @Dario Zani,

Do those instructions still apply for cloud? I’m getting a different value (higher) from the license metric report than when I run the instructions from the link provided.

Thanks,

Kyle

Ah yes for Cloud that metric don’t matter anymore. I’m not expert how wadaco and the licenses are handled now in Cloud, not sure if you need to have a full application user or if you can buy LTU users licenses now (LTU WAREHOUSE_WORKER_LTU_2xRx was added a couple of years ago), it might also depend on which client you use, I’m not 100% sure, but I would guess you might need full application user to use the aurena (web) client while the LTU might be enough for the aurena/scan-it app.

Licensing metrics are still valid. You will need two licenses together to run Wadaco processes.

  1. First one is SCAN_IT license (All active Warehouse Data Collection Aurena users), this count will determine the number of Active Users that can run Wadaco session simultaneously.
  1. Second one is either FULL_IFS_USERS (IFS users that consume a full license) OR LTU_IFS_USERS (IFS users that consume an LTU license). This license controls the access to IFS application functionalities. If you use LTU_IFS_USERS metric, you can import WAREHOUSE_WORKER_LTU_2xRx permission set which has the limited but adequate permissions to run complete Wadaco functionalities with low cost compared to full license. Also you can use any client with this permission set (Web and Mobile). If you use FULL_IFS_USERS users will have full access to the IFS application functionalities.

Best Regards,
Dinuka.

Hi @kmonto

Sorry seems like I misunderstood this question, I thought it was about pre-cloud active sessions license handling for wadaco. I had not heard or seen this license metric client before or that there as a wadaco/scanit segment here.
At the moment I don't know much about this since it seems to be handled by the mobile FW rather than the wadaco team.
It seems like this metric might be more connected to number users of the scan-it app and not directly connected to active data capture sessions like we had before, that might explain the differences here.

Figured out that the metric is determined by the number of Users listed on the Mobile App User Details screen in IFS Cloud. The curious thing is that it does not matter whether the user is Active or Disabled, it counts them either way. Once I delete the user it adjusts the counts accordingly.
