Hi,

Currently we have 15 scanners in our Production which use 15 IFS licenses to run WaDaCo. We’re planning to implement approximately 65 new scanners in other factories to use WaDaCo functionality.

Do you know if it will demand we use 65 new IFS Licenses or is there a better and more efficient way we we can approach this? It could be great if it’s possible to decrease the use of licenses. 80 licenses for the use of WaDaCo seems high.

So It is possible to ‘share’ licenses? We tried to test the use of same/shared license on multiple scanners and the sessions were ‘parked’ so it didn’t work.

Please share your knowledge :)

Regards Christian

Every terminal or user session will require a license to login.  Attempting to login as the same user on another terminal will lock one session.  If you have 80 sessions for 80 scanners, you will need 80 licenses.

If you have 80 users/scanners working at the same time you need 80 wadaco licenses, but if you have like 40 users during the day and 40 users during the night using it you could handle it with around 40+ licenses.

This how it works for Applications 8-9-10. The licensing for IFS Cloud will probably be different.
