ISSUE/QUESTION: How to find log files when issues occur only in Wadaco Scan It Handheld devices

RESOLUTION/ANSWER:

  • Device Logs

This was specifically developed for the Aurena Scan It application and that is not available in - IFS Apps 10 Scan it.Device logs can be access as below.Device logs will provide high-level information.

Click on the settings icon --> Send Device Logs --> Save To Device --> Select a location in your machine

When you unzip the downloaded BugReport.zip file there are two types of files exist as below.

Insights.log file: Registers information on customer actions in high level.

Log.log file: Register’s information of communication between device and middleware server. (if its app10 and below: communication of device and TAS)

  • Touch App Server Logs (For App10 and below customers)

Touch app server log from the below location. You have to go to the machine where touch app server is installed and check the below location.

C:/inetpub/IFS Touch Apps Server/logs/TASTrace.log

TASTrace log file : This file includes information of all the application connected TAS not only the Scan It client.
