Hi, We looked at handling units, but I think there were additional issues when it came to putting them in stock, we would have to scan each one. And for stock takes we would have to scan each one as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks If I understand this correctly, we’re looking at doing the same. Customer order by a case pack, (6 cans of paint in one case so they order 6 cases, our team picks 6 cases, and we invoice for 6 cases). We are currently working on a solution that spreads wide, because they also want to be billed by the case, not the each but we manufacture and inventory by the each.Agreed that the handing unit option seems cumbersome. Looking forward to any other input.
WOW! Thank you. I got some of my team members watching this string and saw it before I did and they have started testing. Pre-lims look good some sites are already on to testing. Thanks again for the answer. I’ll jump back on here with the outcome in a few weeks!
Great! You are almost spot on with our needs. How do I configure the application to first reserve from the locations closest to my main picking area then to my bulk area? I am working in cloud based IFS
I agree totally for the operations side, however since I traditionally package both, and have structures for both where costs are assigned I run into a cost variance. I repackage into 10 pound bags, my costs are higher in losing the original bag, label, tie and the labor to do it and finance wants to capture those costs.
