Alternative for Impersonate User

Hi All, I want to post a background job via a custom event action as app owner (needs to perform event action as a different user) without using impersonate user.’Fnd_Session_API.Impersonate_Fnd_User(‘IFSAPP’)’ Does anyone know any other option in APPS 10? Thanks! Thank you @Tomas Ruderfelt :)
