Hello,

We are using Cloud 23.1.8 and seeing something that we can’t explain.

One of our project coordinators recently brought to our attention some odd time entries that she was seeing made by one of our field technicians.  At first, we thought it may have been something the technician was doing and just needed a training correction however we began to see it happen more and more (granted still only with this one technician) and they swear their entries were being changed by the system.  I have some details below –

Our technicians use the “Time Registration” page to enter time against project activities they are working on.  Specifically, they work with this screen in the grid view (not the calendar view the page defaults to) pictured below –

The technician who is having these time issues is employee 900254.  He has several shortcuts saved in time registration for the projects he is assigned to, so his process of time entry consists on coming to the appropriate day and then entering his hours on the needed project line.  An example of this can be found below –

At first glance it looks like he has entered 3 hours for Monday the 12th, 4 hours for Tuesday the 13th, etc.  However if you click the project shortcut line and then select details you get different entries –

Notice the hours that the employee entered are technically correct, but IFS has somehow shown the original entry of 3.28 with a -0.28 to get it back down to 3.  Same thing happens with the second day of entries where he entered 4 hours, but IFS shows an entry of 3.57 and then an additional .43 was added to round it up.

We tried to recreate this by adding time to this exact same project in the current week, but any entries we do only show the one entry in details; not the odd splitting of time.

Any ideas what may have caused the seemingly odd rounding to occur?
