Dear Community,

Is there an official statement from IFS on the naming of the contexts?

Theoretically, I can create in each projection the same context name as grouping function.

In this way I can save configuration context mapping entries. Could this lead to database conflicts in the future?

Appriciate your feedback.

Example

Hi @LKACH,

A Configuration Context is like a label attached to a configuration that is stored together with the configuration. There is no specific base data storage where one defines configuration contexts that  are then used. Therefore, I don’t think this would be a problem. When it comes to the syntax, they are case sensitive and should not contain spaces.

Please read the documentation here:

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r2/040_tailoring/225_configuration/260_context_based_configuration/#define_new_custom_contexts

Hope this helps!
