Hello, community.
I have a question. We have redesigned the warehouse and all items are in different positions than where their default location is set.

Is there any way to set the base positions at once according to where they are currently set? Or does it have to change the deafult location item by item?

@MartinKrejci you would need to do it part by part. The reason for this is that the same part no could be located in multiple location nos, but there could be only 1 default location per part.

In case you have lots of parts to update and you are sure each part no is in exactly one location no what you could do is the following:

  • ask your IT department to do a query/quick report on Inventory Part in Stock - get Site / Part no / Location No - export the results in Excel
  • Then your IT could create a Mig Job to upload the results from Excel file into the Inventory Part Default Locations
