When creating the new project enable Copy From Exiting Project and give the existing project as the Source Project.
After the project has been created you can use the same option as well
Alternatively you can copy specific Sub Projects/ Actives as well. Check the Sub Project Scope and Schedule page and/ or Activity Scope and Schedule.

Hi Buddhika,
Thank you for the reply, I don’t think I have explained myself correctly or are using the correct key words. An example of what I want to know is:
I have two existing projects:
Both projects ideally need to be kept separate, but I would like to link in the 2nd project into one of the phases of the 1st project. This would let the system schedule the dates instead of having to manually insert dates from one project to the other.
If this is not possible, there is no issue! Was just looking for an easy fix!
Thank you again.
If I understand you correct, you need to calculate the dates of some activities of the project #1 based on dates of some activities of a phase of Project #2, taking those as dependencies. But you dont want to copy the mentioned phase of Project #2 to #1.
If this is the case, I dont see any viable automated functionality in IFS Cloud.
But if you can identify some constraint dates, you can add those to the activities of the project #1 and do the scheduling.
For example, if an activity cannot be started (in Project #1) before an activity is completed in Project #2, then you can use the end date of the activity of project #2 as a constraint for the activity in project #1 and do the automatic scheduling so that the system will calculate the start end dates for other activities. Not sure if this exactly help in your scenario, but thinking loud.
Hi
Also, would you be able to share a screenshot of your ‘Overall project’ and ‘test project’ to understand better how you have set up your main project, sub projects and activities.
A screenshot of the ‘tree navigator’ from both types of projects would suffice to understand better.
(Steps:
Would be interested to know how/to which part you would like to connect your “test project” to the “main project”? Would you like it to be connected as a Sub project or connect if directly to the main project?
