We currently have the following valid from and valid until dates in this period:
There is transaction in the hold table dated 11/26/2023 that has not been posted yet, coming from an interim voucher.
We would like to change the valid until date to 12/21/2023 (and also change the valid from date for the next period to 12/22/2023), but when we try to do so, we get this message:
Is there any way at all to change the dates? We really need to be able to do so. Any help would be much appreciated.
As the error message implies it is not possible for and end user in the application to change periods after a transaction has been generated ion the period..
What you can do, if there exists no transactions dated within the dates you want to update the period to, is to use a software like PLSQL Developer to update the period dates. Beware though, you really need to know what you are doing when making such an update. It is VERY important that there are no postings that are moved into a different period.
