I think this is basically the value of the old agreement that it’s replaced by the current one, and this info is sent in the PRICAT EDI message, as described in the field help:

“This is the superseded agreement identity that is used to send PRICAT messages via EDI/MHS.”

This would serve as informative value for your customer to know which agreement supersedes old one.
